Frequently Asked
Questions

calendar_month

How do I grant calendar access?

expand_more

MeetingNudge will ask for calendar permission on first launch. If you need to grant or change access later, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars and make sure MeetingNudge is toggled on with Full Access.

notifications

Why aren't notifications showing?

expand_more

Head to System Settings > Notifications > MeetingNudge and check that notifications are allowed. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on and your preferred alert style (banners or alerts) is selected. Also check that Do Not Disturb / Focus mode isn't blocking them.

timer

How do I change reminder times?

expand_more

Open MeetingNudge and go to Settings > Reminders tab. You can select multiple reminder times — for example, get a nudge at 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute before your meeting starts.

videocam

What conference platforms are supported?

expand_more

MeetingNudge automatically detects links for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. It scans your calendar event's URL field, notes, and location to find join links — so you can join any meeting with a single click.

fullscreen

How does the full-screen overlay work?

expand_more

When a meeting is about to start, MeetingNudge can display a full-screen overlay across all your displays showing the meeting details and a one-click join button. You can dismiss the overlay, snooze it, or join the meeting directly. It's designed to be impossible to miss.

visibility_off

Can I disable the overlay?

expand_more

Yes. Go to Settings > Overlay tab and toggle the overlay off. You'll still receive standard macOS notifications — the overlay is just an extra layer for those who want something harder to miss.

shield

Does MeetingNudge access my data?

expand_more

MeetingNudge is 100% local. It reads your calendar data to show meetings and that's it — no data is ever transmitted, collected, or stored externally. No analytics, no accounts, no servers. Read the full Privacy Policy for details.

power_settings_new

How do I quit the app?

expand_more

Click the MeetingNudge icon in your menu bar to open the popover, then click Quit. You can also use Cmd+Q while the popover is open.

event_busy

My calendars aren't showing up

expand_more

Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Calendars and make sure MeetingNudge has Full Access enabled. If you only see "Ask Next Time" or it's toggled off, the app won't be able to read your calendar data. You may need to restart MeetingNudge after changing the permission.

restart_alt

How do I reset to defaults?

expand_more

Open MeetingNudge and go to Settings > About > Re-run Setup. This will reset your preferences and take you through the onboarding flow again as if it were a fresh install.
